2008 GRANDParent of the Year

In September, GRAND magazine will announce the winner of our third annual "GRANDParent of the Year."

That person could be someone you love!

One GRAND winer and ten finalists will be selected from among the nominations we receive from you—nominations of people whom you believe demonstrate the caring and selflessness necessary to strengthen the bond between grandchildren and grandparents.

It's easy to enter! Nominations may be sent from anyone: grandchildren, daughters, sons, husbands, wives or friends. Simply write a short statement (under 100 words) on why you think your nominee should be the GRANDParent of the Year.

No purchase necessary to enter or win.
Only one entry per e-mail address or street address.
You must be a legal resident of one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia to enter.
Employees of immediate family members or employees of sponsors of GRAND Media, LLC are not eligible.
The approximate retail value (ARP) of this prize is under $7,000.
All entries must be received by 11:59 PM, EST on Sunday, July 20, 2008.
Potential winner will be notified via mail and/or telephone. If potential winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within five (5) days, such potential winner forfeits all rights to any prize and an alternate winner may be selected.
All decisions of the judges are final and binding.
Income and other taxes, if any, are entirely the responsibility of the winner.
Void where prohibited. GRAND Media will arrange all transportation for the GRAND prize winners. Prize is for two people.
No substitution or transfer of prizes except by GRAND Magazine, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted.
All entries become the property of GRAND magazine and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Except where prohibited: (1) Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winner’s name and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes without further compensation; (2) Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release. Affidavits must be returned with 2 days of notification.
